This is a part of my small collection of pseudo-Alyonkas. I'll be grateful if you help me to continue this gallery.

Mail art "a la Russ" from the USA by Tricia Burr. Unfortunately, Tricia used the image of pseudo-Alyonka. In Russia such "false Alyonkas" are everywhere on sale. Above you can see eight of them.

The Beatles and the Alyonka again. This Valery Shimanovsky's envelope appeared last week on www.fripsmailart.blogspot.com.

Mail art "Pokto Vele, Korno Sye". Don't try to translate it from Russian. It's the title of the song that is very popular in the Mari Republic of Russia. Sent to Anton Gromov, a citizen of Tolyatti.

The Beatles and the Alyonka. Mail art by Valery Shimanovsky, Nizhnekamsk, Russia. It's interesting to notice that both brands appeared at one time - in the 1960th.

This is what I sent back to Jesse Edwards. In addition...

...Jesse will receive Alyonka chocolate wrapper and my card (rather old one) with the slogan "My sister told me she would lead me to a museum".

The second mail art by Ajgul Ahmetshina, Nizhnekamsk, Russia.

Ajgul's 10-year-old brother Almaz couldn't help becoming a mail artist. This is his first artwork for Alyonka project.

Envelope and card received from G.D.P., Belgium. Besides, I got an unfinished self-portrait by G.D.P. It will be posted there as soon as I finish the work and send it back.

"Art of Decrease". Mail art sent to Valery Shimanovsky.

Mail art by Dmitry Zimin, Smolensk, Russia. Dmitry managed to turn Alyonka into Cheburashka, a popular character of Russian children's books and animation films. White Cheburashka was the official symbol of Russian team on 2006 Winter Olympic Games.

Mail art by Johannes J. Musolf, Braunfels, Germany. Now we know that Jane Doe (Alyonka's mother or elder sister) was a part of an art project in Austria in 2003.

Post card received from Olga Sorokina, Nizhnekamsk, Russia. On the back side there are some pleasant words addressed to my wife Valentina.

Certificate of The Durham Gilesgate Sports College is a confirmation of my participation (with Alyonka envelope, of course!) in "My World" Mail Art Exhibition arranged by a person Eileen by name.
