Почтовая карточка от Test Tower, Централия, США.

Mail art attracted attention of the main newspaper of Russia! The article "Postal Creation" by Tatyna Zhelonkina appeared in "Rossijskaya Gazeta" last Friday. The article tells about mail art as it is and the ongoing projects "Alyonka" and "Sputnik". In the story the name of French mail artist Denis Charmot is mentioned - in connection with his successful "Patchwork" project. The story is illustrated by the photo from the First International Mail Art Show in Yoshkar-Ola (October 2006) and the image of the envelope created by Alexander Nasekin (Cheboksari) and Valery Shimanovsky (Nizhnekamsk).

The main building of "Red October" chocolate factory, Moscow. The photo was made last spring by my pen friend Svetlana Svininnikova, citizen of Ramenskoye, Moscow region.

Sensational discovery! I've managed to fing the inverse image of Alyonka! Recently mail artist Alex Klukin presented me with this chocolate bar wrapper. The wrapper was issued in the 1960-s in Leningrad (Saint-Petersburg) for chocolate named "Alyonka" produced by pastry factory named after N.K. Krupskaya. This very copy is dated November 15, 1965. We can presume that the "original" Alyonka image of "Red October" Moscow factory (used since 1966) was not the first!
